DESIGN DETAILS

JACQUARD

Canal Ripple

Copenhagen's canals are shaped by movement — water passing between buildings, reflections shifting across the surface, and people moving along the waterfront.
CPH-03 translates this quiet movement into Canal Ripple jacquard.

CROSS-AXIS

A coordinate, made physical.

The city's geographical coordinates become ARKIVIN's signature cross-axis — a small detail that marks the archive within the textile.

BUTTON CLOSURE

Button closure at the bottom edge.

A simple fastening, designed for everyday use.

HAND OPENINGS

Designed to make the bed.

Hand openings at the top corners make it easier to reach inside, position and adjust the duvet insert.

ARCHIVE OBJECTS

Included with every ARKIVIN bedding set.

Four objects that carry the archive beyond the bedding.

  • City Postcard

A photograph from the city archive, printed as a postcard.

The stamp is made from a fragment of the textile archive, carrying the material back into the image.

  • Scent Card

A scented sheet carrying the atmosphere of the city.

Designed to release the archive through scent when the box is opened, then remain as part of the archive.

  • Woven Label

A removable woven label carrying the ARKIVIN archive mark.

Attach it to the bedding, move it, or keep it with the rest of the archive.

  • Paint Pen

A paint pen in the city's archive colour.

Write a date, a place, a name, or whatever you want to leave behind.

    The archive records the city.
    This one records you.
